GREY ORGANISATION: CORK STREET
TOBY MOTT

Grey Organisation archive has collaborated with Richardson for a book about the Cork Street attack.

The Grey Organisation was an artist collective founded in London between 1983 and 1991. The GO showed in London, New York, San Francisco and Tokyo, collaborated with Gilbert and George, Derek Jarman and Throbbing Gristle, and worked in multi mediums of painting, sculpture, film and video. Most infamously, the GO staged an “art terrorist action,” vandalizing the establishment art galleries on Cork St. in central London with buckets of grey paint in protest of the galleries’ lack of support for emerging artists.
